Mr. Rochester's Words
My favorite character
In my favorite book
Once said
I feel as if
There is a string
Attached somewhere
Between my ribs
The other end
Of that string
Seems to be knotted
In the same place
On your little frame
And I feel that
If the sting
Is stretched
Over a great distance
That it will break
And I will loose you
Forever
I now know
The meaning
Of these words
The truth
That they hold
For the great distance
Between you and I
Is cause our string
To stretch
And break
And I
Am loosing
The greatest connection
That I have ever felt
To one person
To you
I told you the truth
I have nothing left to hide
I worked up my courage
I spoke the words
I let the words come
I let the tears come
I poured out my soul
I showed you my heart
I begged you to feel the same
I needed you to feel the same
I shook and
I cried
I said all that I had to say
And you just turned away
You had no reason
You had no rhyme
You turned and
You walked away from me
You saw the tears that I cried
You did not let them change your mind
You didn’t say a word
You didn’t pour out your soul
You don’t feel the same
You cried no tears
You did not hold me
You did not care
You said nothing
And you just tu
Leaches, all of you
You take and you take
Until there is nothing left
You have sucked the life
Out of me
You drain me
Of hope
Of happiness
Of laughter
I can not smile
When you are near
I can not laugh
When you speak
I hate you
For all that you are
For what you
Want to make me
You never ask
You never care
You never want to know
You never
Did you know
That there are people
In the universe
Other than you
All of you are leaches
Taking and taking
Until there is
Nothing left to take
Nothing left to take of me

Have You Seen this Girl
Have You Seen This Girl?
Have you seen this girl?
I knew her a long time ago.
She was a friend of mine.
I haven't seen her in ages.
I wonder if she has changed much.
She used to be so beautiful.
Have you seen this girl?
She used to be such a part of my life.
I don't know how I ever forgot her.
She had beautiful green eyes.
And an amazing laugh.
How could I have not said hi?
What is that you say?
No one has seen her for a long time.
But she would always come here.
She used to sit there
And talk to her friends.
Laugh at their Jokes.
You heard she ran away,
But why would she?
She loved her life.
Have you seen this girl?
S
He looks upon me
With his icy blue eyes
And he sees me,
All of me,
As I am.
I cannot hide
From his blue eyes.
I cannot keep something from him.
He knows me,
All of me,
And he does not run
He can see to my heart.
I find peace
In his blue eyes.
He calms the storm
That rages inside.
He is my rock
And my comfort.
When he holds me,
And looks at me
With his blue eyes,
My world is perfect.
His eyes can see through me.
With those aqua marine orbs,
He can read
Every thought
That passes through my mind.
He must already know
That I look at him
As more than just
My friend.
He can see
Everything I am,
But he stays by
Out of the state of my mind but in the blanket of my heart
I find rest
It is not i that i have found
I am who i am, and who i am
Like waves imprinting on the sands, so your hand has molded this clay
The love gazes and holds its breath and is silent
Affections immeasurable, an abandoning of clamor,
Yet roused by the whisper of your still small voice.
I would still frame this moment to obtain beauty forever
I would crawl through thorns to posses time
To kiss, to hold, to touch your love; as long as we are together
Dear Soldier
I must have seen your twin today.
He had your hair,
Your build and eyes.
He even wore the same kind of clothes.
Maybe he wasn't your twin.
Maybe he was a memory of you.
Or he was even your ghost.
Whatever it was,
It reminded me.
Of how deep this wound goes.
Of how much I miss you
And how much I still love you.
And what you mean to me.
For so long,
You were my rock and my pain.
My love and my hate.
You drove me crazy
And at the same time,
Instilled in me a peace.
That peace surpassed everything else.
I found my calm place
And it was in your arms.
And ever since you left,
The storm has raged relentlessly.
I had too much to dream last night
Fishes were flying
And birds were swimming
Up was down and down was up
When I awoke,
The red numbers told me it was 12:14
I was swimming in a sea
A sea of familiar faces.
My first grade teacher ,
My friends and even you.
Then, I was just swimming in a sea
I could feel the water all around me
I couldn't breath
And when I finally did,
No water filled my lungs.
When I awoke,
The red numbers told me it was 1:53
I had over slept
And missed the big test
I could not make it up
And was going to fail the class
When I awoke,
The red numbers told me it was 2:33
I had to much to dream last nigh
To my mentor
To my friend
To my teacher
I spent two years
In your class
Learning math,
Learning about life
You taught me what I needed
To help me through
The test next week
And the rest of my life
Your smile will forever be
Ingrained in my mind
Even though
I can no longer see it
But I do not even know
What to call you.
I can not call you mentor
You were more than that
A mentor leads another
Although you lead me
You stood behind and pushed
When I could not move
I can not call you a teacher
You did more than teach
You talked to us
But not as children
But I can not call you a friend
You were more than a friend
You
